What is Hope?

What is Hope? Hope Family Resources, LLC believes that hope is a key in our ability to live fulfilled, peaceful, satisfying lives.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary*, hope means:

  • to cherish a desire with anticipation
  • to expect with confidence
  • the feeling of wanting something to happen and thinking that it could happen : a feeling that something good will happen or be true
  • expectation of fulfillment or success

HFR believes that to have a peaceful and fulfilled life, we have to expect that good things will happen and to remain in that belief with confidence. We all go through challenges. Everyone’s life story is unique. Each person is unique, not like anyone else. However, we can all have hope in our troubled times. We can collectively hold onto hope that something good will happen even when we are struggling. This is not to downplay your struggles, because you may be going through some really difficult times, but having hope will make the path seem just a bit (or a lot) brighter. Having hope helps us to live life with a little more ease and a little less pain. So, cherish the desires you have for change and a good future and believe/expect that you will have fulfillment and success and you will find that your today is that much more peaceful.
